Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science

Miami, FL

Designed by Grimshaw Architects, the five-story West Bar building and Frost Planetarium feature distinctive design elements created with architectural precast concrete systems. Custom formliners were used to create the innovative exterior of the West Bar building and the full-sphere dome of the self-supporting planetarium. Located in downtown Miami’s Museum Park, the new $305 million Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science is scheduled to open to the public in late 2016. Photos by Miami In Focus
