Baptist Medical South Campus

Jacksonville, FL

The architect’s original concept for this Design-Build facility incorporated split-face CMU as the exterior system. The switch from CMU to architectural precast saved both time and money. As a result of Gate’s Design Assistance in Phase 1, Gate has produced approximately 300,000 square feet of architectural and structural concrete on the Medical Office Building, Tower D and a 1,050 car parking garage.

From the Contractor:

"Gate was a valuable part of the construction team for Baptist Medical Center – South. Without their dedication to quality, this project would not have had the dramatic impact that it has, both on the surrounding area and for the project owner.

"Gate provided the project team with timely and accurate information during the pre-construction phase of the project, thus insuring the optimal mix of scope and budget."

"They were a negotiated subcontractor who was brought on board early to work with the architect and the structural engineer, ensuring that the precast panel system was fully coordinated with the rest of the building."

"Their participation was invaluable and contributed greatly to the success of the project."
