Duval County Unified Courthouse

Jacksonville, FL

The $228 million design-bid-build county courthouse is a seven-story, 800,000 square foot concrete structure. The building has a two-story base that is forty feet high, a seven-story tower that is 140 feet high and the pediment is 188 feet high. The facade materials are architectural precast concrete and glass. The new courthouse was completed May 2012.

Precast Scope:

  • Over 305,000 square feet of architectural precast concrete products including large 8' diameter columns located on the north and south elevations. There were a total eight vertical columns on each face.
  • As part of Courthouse project requirements, The City required the Courthouse to be at the Certified level, the project achieved a Silver level Certification.
