FSC Christoverson Humanities

Lakeland, FL

The new humanities building at Florida Southern College creates a gateway into an architectural quadrant of the campus that includes the largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright structures. New York architect Robert A.M. Stern, a Frank Lloyd Wright scholar, designed the building in association with Wallace Murphy Boyington. The building features strong geometry, a Gatestone Architectural Precast Concrete Finish with deep horizontal lines and windows similar to other campus buildings. The building was completed in November 2010 and received an Honorable Mention award in the 2011 PCI Design Awards Competition.
