Ft. Lauderdale Temple

Ft. Lauderdale , FL

The exterior of the 30,500-square-foot-temple is clad with earth-toned architectural precast concrete. Precast features include a curved colonnade with arched windows, intricate mold work, and a 41' monolithic steeple. Decorative landscape elements were cast into the panels as well as incised lettering. Gate Precast was selected as the Precast Design-Assist Consultant on the project in 2011. The project was completed in 2014. The Latter-day Saints Temple was recognized in PCI's 2014 Sid Freedman Craftsmanship competition.

The Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple was the second temple built in Florida, following the Orlando Florida Temple (1994) which Gate Precast produced a pure white architectural precast exterior for this temple. Click for more images.
