Lincoln Financial Group

Greensboro, NC

The 375,000 square foot, 20-story Jefferson-Pilot headquarters was designed to emulate its existing Romanesque-style headquarters that was constructed in 1924. The use of precast concrete provided a high level of detailing, including a pattern of false joints similar to the original terra-cotta facade of the older structure.

This building was constructed originally for Jefferson-Pilot Corporate in five months, a time schedule that wouldn't have been possible without the use of architectural precast. There were more than 1,500 precastings of approximately 160 variously shaped panels ranging in weight from 308 pounds to nine tons.
